Alas ye faithful Sonneteers, the Lomond Dream has died. As far as i can see 4 bands from the month of May got through, but we weren't one. But the train keeps a rollin - and thanks again to ebveryone who made the treck and supported us. There will be many more road trips to look forward too.
So thats us pelvis deep into festival season. At the start of May we made an Al Fresco start to DD8music's Bon Scott Rock Weekend - borrowing some of the electricity from the Museum to run our equipment out in the town Square - and how we all loved it! You can see the pics online by logging on to www.myspace.com/sonnet65 and clicking on the links. I actually dont even know if that is true. Apres that we festivalized the Northen Angus Town of Montrose playing a party anthems set at the Ash Bar on Saturday 30th, then Head Bangin Arse Kickin Epic Rock set at The Star on the Sunday. Cheers to the Heidrum guys for an awesome weekend - they put everything into it and their first festival was a huge success. On the back of our shows there we have been invited to play a live acoustic session on FringeFM during Augusts edinburgh fringe festival!
Next up is a home gig for us - just across the road in fact at the Nuo Camp in Kirrie. Then we complete our tour of the best football teams of all time as we hit Coupar of the Angus variety. Make sure to pop along to our remaining outdoor festival sets as well as Dundee Skate Park and Alyth Hall. Other ones to look out for are the Acoustic Sessions we are currently rehearsing which will be a mixture of original material and all the sing-a-long pub favourites. All dates are now up on the gigs page.
Keep ears, eyes and - if you must - shoulders, knees and toes peeled for upcoming dates for the rest of the year. If you haven bought our record - do it now, its officially cheaper than Asda-price. Do this by simply asking us through your preferred form of communication. You can talk to us - despite us being scientifically created, by boffins, in a laboritory, to rock on instinct - we are quite approachable.
